Abstract
Ocean currents, temperature, salinity and pressure time series from five oceanographic moorings deployed in the Amundsen and Bellingshausen Seas, Antarctica. The moorings were deployed during the 2006 expedition ANT-XXIII/4 aboard the R/V Polarstern and retrieved during the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer cruise NBP0702 in 2007. The deployments were part of a multidisciplinary effort to study the upwelling of relatively warm deep water onto the Amundsen Sea continental shelf and how it relates to atmospheric forcing and bottom bathymetry and how the warm waters interact with both glacial and sea ice. This study constitutes a contribution of a coordinated research effort in the region known as the Amundsen Sea Embayment Project or ASEP.
