Abstract
This dataset contains measurements of field capacity for McMurdo Dry Valleys soils. Field capacity is the amount of water retained in the soil matrix after saturated soil fully drains. It is a measure of how much water can be bound in soil before water will start to move through pores in saturated soils. Field capacity was measured by saturating and draining these soils in the lab.
