Abstract
Acid-soluble aluminum concentrations in near-surface soils were measured for wetland and dry intertrack soils in Taylor Valley, McMurdo Dry Valleys. Soil samples were washed with 1M acetic acid for one hour and then pH balanced to pH = 4.0 for photometric determination of aluminum concentration using the Aluminon indicator method. Soil samples are from the near surface (0-40 cm depth). Samples were collected in 2022-2023.
